Dr Ashish Chandwani is a skilled rheumatologist specialising in diagnosing and managing autoimmune diseases, inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders, and complex musculoskeletal conditions.

He completed advanced training in Rheumatology (DrNB) at the prestigious Army Hospital (Research & Referral), New Delhi, after completing his postgraduate qualification in General Medicine. His clinical expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of rheumatological disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), spondyloarthritis, Sjögren’s syndrome, vasculitis and other systemic autoimmune conditions.

Dr Chandwani has specialised expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasonography, ultrasound-guided joint and soft-tissue injections, nailfold capillaroscopy and advanced diagnostic techniques used in rheumatology. His clinical approach focuses on accurate diagnosis, individualised treatment planning, disease monitoring and multidisciplinary care to improve patients’ long-term health and quality of life.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Chandwani is actively involved in medical research and academic advancements in rheumatology. He has served as co-principal investigator on the international Phase III SIRIUS-LN clinical trial investigating treatment options for lupus nephritis.

His research contributions include publications in internationally recognised medical journals such as The Lancet, Rheumatology (Oxford), QJM and the International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases. He has also presented his academic work at international rheumatology conferences, including EULAR and APLAR.
