Brief Profile

Dr. Amitabh has over 26 years of experience in treating patients with various brain and spine disorders. He completed his neurosurgical training at the reputed Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology. Additionally, he has been trained at the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru. He has extensive experience in various surgeries, including the treatment of complex brain tumours, clipping of aneurysms, AVMs, Epilepsy, and Deep brain stimulation, as well as spine surgeries, Endoscopic and minimally invasive surgeries, and trauma care.

He has been practising in Delhi for over 26 years. He has experience working in all major corporate hospitals, including MAX, B L Kapoor, and Indian Spinal & was heading Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh before leaving for the United States in 2017 to pursue advanced training and fellowship in minimally invasive brain & spine surgery, including neuro-oncology / stereotactic radiosurgery, and functional neurosurgery at UVA Medical Centre and AGH, Pittsburgh, respectively.

He is also trained in Endoscopic skull base surgery at the Ohio State Medical Centre and has been awarded an NTRI fellowship at the prestigious Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. He has published numerous articles in highly acclaimed international journals and presented at various national and international scientific meetings. He is also a reviewer for international publications, including the Journal of Neurooncology and the Journal of Operative Neurosurgery.

He has keenly updated his surgical skills and knowledge about the latest advances in Neurosurgery for leading spine & brain diseases, utilising newer technology. His vision is to provide maximum benefit to patients with minimal pain and morbidity.
