With 26 years of clinical, managerial and teaching experience behind him, Dr Bhardwaj (Sports & Joint replacement surgeon) has held significant positions across reputed hospitals in Britain and India. Apart from being a full-time faculty, he was also associated with the North Middlesex University Hospital in London. He has practised Orthopaedic surgery as a Senior Orthopaedics Surgeon at University Hospital, London for many years. Before settling in London in 2004, Dr Bhardwaj had worked in famous hospitals like Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, Lincoln County Hospital and Nottinghamshire. His expertise backed by his advanced & modern overseas training includes Complex and revision Joint Replacements and Arthroscopic procedures on the Knee, shoulder, elbow and hips along with complex trauma & Complex Spine Surgeries. Dr Bhardwaj has spent over 10 years practising in the UK and has rich experience doing thousands of successful Joint Replacements and orthopaedic surgeries in the UK and India. His special interest is in complex/ redo joint replacement and Sports surgeries.
Dr Bhardwaj is credited with being among the first in India to perform several sports and shoulder surgeries within one year of working in India starting in 2013. Dr Gaurav Bhardwaj established the Institute of Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement and worked for more than 3 years as Unit Head and Senior Consultant at Max Smart Superspeciality Hospital, Saket. He has treated the most elite commandos and top sportspersons helping them return to their fields. Dr Gaurav Bhardwaj is in the panel of doctors which looks after the top Olympians of the Olympic gold quest team.
