Dr. Sumeet Shah is a General, Laparoscopic, and Bariatric Surgeon and has experience of 26 years in this field. He completed MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi in 1993, MS – General Surgery from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur in 1998, and DNB – General Surgery from National Board of Examination, New Delhi in 2000. Advanced training in Gastro-Intestinal Surgery – AIIMS, New Delhi, Post Doctoral Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery and has received special training in Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery, Fellow – Indian Association of Gastro-Intestinal Endosurgeons (FIAGES) He has also been Awarded Advanced Laparoscopic Fellowship in Bariatric & Hernia Surgery.
He has been associated as a Senior Advanced Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgeon at many large, prestigious hospitals in Delhi. He is an Executive Committee Member of Obesity Surgery Society of India (OSSI) & has conducted live Surgery and trained many upcoming surgeon’s in the field of Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery”
He is a member of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo-Surgeons (IAGES) and Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS), E.C Member – Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society of India (OSSI), Asia Pacific Hernia Society (APHS), E. C Member – Hernia Society of India (HSI), Faculty at Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education (EISE), Faculty at CEMAST (Centre of Excellence for Minimal Access Surgery Training), Karl Storz, Mumbai, India.
Dr Shah has several presentations to his credit and has been invited as Faculty/ Expert at more than 100 National/ International meetings of Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeons. He has presented more than 50 invited papers at various specialist meetings.
